Very enlightening book, many deem paganism as evil but when studying the etymology of the word it just meant villager or farmer. And many of these farmers learned nature to cultivate their civilization neither was religion afforded to them because religion was for the rich folk. But even going further in history the teachings of the Kemetic faith provided a foundation for the main three religions. I love things like this, it makes you humble to know that what you believe in isn't original.
Genesis 1:11-16 contradicts astrophysics. Luke 3:23-38 and Matthew 1:2-17 contradict Australopithecus afarensis and Neanderthals. Lilith was Adam’s first wife, not Eve. Lilith (Genesis 1:27, Isaiah 34:13-14, Dead Sea scrolls 4Q510-511, Zohar, Sirach) was created at the same time as Adam, not later from Adam’s rib, like Eve (Genesis 2:19-22).Among the advocates of the non-historicity of Jesus, John M. Robertson and L. Gordon Rylands are widely known (pg. 26). Jackson’s interpretation of the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse is much more accurate than that of Hal Lindsey’s jabberwocky (pgs. 30-31). The trial of the soul before Osiris in the Hall of Judgement is described in detail in the “Book of the Deadâ€. According to the Hindus, Krishna will occupy the judgement seat on the last day (pg. 35). Quetzalcoatl was born of a virgin (pg. 22).Sir E.A. Wallis Budge, Bruno Bauer, Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, Antonio Gramsci, Jack London, Mark Twain, Harvey Spencer Lewis, Abraham Lincoln, and A.E. Waite would have enjoyed Jackson’s booklet. David Rohl’s “A Test of Time†is fantasy literature that tries to masquerade as non-fiction.
I recommend reading "The Jesus Mysteries", you get more bang for your buck. The author includes some dodgy sources when showing how different revered figures like Jesus have similar history.
Kinda challenges your safe space. Do you really believe blindly when you learn that previous civilizations had the same messianic story in their tradition thousands of years before Christ? I'm like Fox Mulder, I want to believe, but reading this made me hear that "Twilight Zone" music and begin questioning everything I've been taught. Was it all just a big fairy tale told over and over thousands of years earlier?
This is a must read if you are searching for Truth and the Africans contributions to all civilizationsorts.
Incredible read and all the facts are easily researchable. It has opened up my mind, and heart.
Excellent Book and breaks down the origins of where a lot of what we know today in the traditional church settings has come from. Dr. John Jackson and Dr. John Henrik Clarke are some of the best and not known historians that should be truly revered for their wonderful research and contributions to having Real History and truths told and exposed!
