About the Author
Richard A. Gorton received his doctorate from Stanford University, majoring in school administration. His Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science and his Master’s Degree in Counseling and Guidance were conferred by the University of Iowa. Dr. Gorton’s school experience includes teaching, counseling and guidance, and administration. He was Department Chairperson and Professor of Administrative Leadership and Supervision at the University of Wisconsin at Milwaukee. He is currently a consultant with Gorton Associates in San Diego, California. A leader in state and national administrator orga-nizations, Dr. Gorton has collaborated on a national study of “the effective principal.” Because of his expertise and practical experience, he has frequently been called on as a consultant and workshop leader in the areas of teacher and administrator evaluation, in-service education, program evaluation, instructional supervision, student disciplinary problems, school-community relations, problem solving, and conflict resolution. Dr. Gorton has published two textbooks, two monographs, and over 100 articles, book reviews, and abstracts on a variety of topics related to educational administration and supervision, as well as education in general. Dr. Gorton’s other textbook for which he was senior author, School-Based Leadership. Challenges and Opportunities, is used in nu-merous university courses devoted to administrator preparation and by school districts for in-service education. He has also served as senior editor for The Ency-clopedia of School Administration and Supervision.

Judy A. Alston received her Ph.D. at the Pennsylvania State University, two master's degrees at the University of South Carolina, and her bachelor's degree in English from Winthrop College in Rock Hill, South Carolina. Prior to teaching in the academy, she was a high school English teacher/teacher-leader in the public school system in South Carolina. Currently Dr. Alston holds the positions of Associate Dean and Director of the Center for Education at Widener University in Chester, Pennsylvania. Prior to joining Widener, she served as the Chair of the Division of Educational Administration and Leadership Studies at Bowling Green State University. Her research foci include gender and educational leadership with a focus on black female school superintendents; urban education and educational leadership highlighting administrative reform in urban schools; diversity and educational leadership exploring how the intersections of class, race/ethnicity, gender, sexual diversity, and ability affect leaders, and spirituality and leadership. She is the author of numerous articles and book chapters in these areas of research, as well as the author of Multi-leadership in Urban Schools.

Petra E. Snowden, received her Ph.D. in Urban Education/Educational Administration from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, where she also earned a Master of Science degree in German Literature and a Bachelor of Science degree in French, German, and Secondary Education. At present, Dr. Snowden is Director of the Ph.D. in Urban Services/Urban Education Concentration at Old Dominion University in Norfolk VA. She is past coordinator of the alternative Norfolk Public Schools and Old Dominion University principal preparation program, Principal Leadership for Urban Schools, Co- director of the Danforth Tidewater Principal Preparation program, Chair of the Department of Educational Leadership and Services, and Associate Professor of Educational Administration at Old Dominion University. She founded the Principal Center at Old Dominion University and served as assessor, coach, and mentor for the Tidewater NASSP/Assessment Center. Her research and writing interests focus on linkages between schools, universities, and community service agencies, particularly as these structures affect the lives of vulnerable children, youth , and adults, non traditional principal preparation, and mentoring. She remains active presenting at national conferences and providing professional development seminars within school settings on topics such as school board and superintendent roles and responsibilities, program evaluation, and planning. In addition, Dr. Snowden served as president of the Hampton Roads YWCA and is an advocate for urban and women's issues. She is the author of numerous articles related to the improvement of school practices and has spoken on a variety of topics pertaining to educational training in community organizations, the "School as a Care Provider," and school leadership. She is completing a multilingual book on the identification of abused children in schools from a multicultural perspective, and the appropriate actions to be taken by principals, counselors, and teachers.

This is book three from a six book series. This is a very short read, only about eight chapters, and it is the shortest book so far. The writing is getting better and the emotional roller coaster will suck you in and will not let you go. There are some parts that read slow and then they speed up. There are a number of twists in this section of the story that you do not see coming as easily as in the previous book. From the covers you would think that there would be a lot of sexual scenes but there are not, just kissing. Knowing that, it is a good book for a younger reader.Recommend this to a friend? Good afternoon everyone today I am reviewing book three what a girl knows. So far in the series we have Sara and Robert two collage kids falling in love. I hope you read book one and book two it'd a must to understand what is going on here in book three. This series is written in two points of views one being Sara and the other being Robert. It switches every other chapter. In book one Sara is at school to prove to her father that she can. She meets Robert in class. Robert is typical rich kid partying all night and doesn't care about school. In book one they are paired together for school project. Sara is not happy to be paired with guy who missed 6 weeks of classes. In book one while working together they get feelings for each other which is admitted at the end. Robert gets call that his dad is very ill then book ends. Now in book 2 we introduce James Robert's friend who has small crush on Sara. In book 2 starts with Sara not seeing Rob for few weeks but she's been spending a lot of time with James. She has no idea that James likes her. Rob invites Sara to go meet his dad who is dying. Robs dad makes him do this. Sara invites James to come along as she is nervous. When Sara meets Rob's dad he tells her firmly that he does not want Sara with his son. Sara is upsets and leaves back to school with James. Back at her dorm James tells Sara that he likes her and ask her out. Rob shows up and apologize to Sara but Sara is confused said she needs time. Book three what a girl knows starts off with Sara trying to decide who to choose. Will it be James or Robert? You will have to read to find out. It is good short story collection hope you enjoy as much as I do.Note: I have received this product for a free or reduced price in exchange for my honest in biased review.

Took me a little long than I anticipated to write this review but as a single mom of two it took me longer to read this book than I anticipated. Lol! I will say that I am absolutely addicted to this series! I don't want to ruin any of the plot to this book so I will keep my review pretty generic because as an avid reader myself I HATE spoilers, but I will say that this is a very well written series with perfect plot progression, it's a easy read that flows well and the characters are very well established. It's for sure my favorite romantic novel series. Very "50 shades" like which for me is amazing! The writing is done so well that your mind "sees" the story as you read it! I recieved the entire series free on my kindle in exchange for my honest review, which for kindle download it's free anyhow, but just for the sake of complete honesty I wanted to disclose that. I never allow any promotional pricing or consideration change my opinions as an online consumer myself I know that customer feedback heavily assists me in my purchases. So far this has been a fine read. I would recommend this for either right- before- bed, or on the beach, a quiet afternoon, etc. There are quite a few dynamic features to the story line. A few twists and tunes, and the characters are pretty well developed. There are a few parts that could be edited slightly better, but I do know most authors on here prefer for their readers to help them out in this aspect.It was not hard reading by any means, but it was also not an elementary level book. Be prepared for some love scenes. But honestly, sometimes they do add to the storyline, right? Of course they do!I hope to either purchase more in this series or get the author motivated to write more! Not that this was left with just a cliffhanger or anything, I have just loved how the storyline was developed, and would love to know where this could head into the future. Knowing how the characters have developed, interacted, and have grown leaves me with a lot of hope for more. I always love series/ books where there is a spin- off into a similar setting, but with acquaintances that the characters had, or will have.Overall, this is a great value and I would highly recommend it. It is a great value for the price, and it simply cannot be beat! I will be purchasing more from this author in the future, and look forward to new releases.

It was an enjoyable read. It got a bit annoying with how long they drug out finding out about a mysterious prophecy, but over all it was a good book.

Humor, real life, and fantasy were wrapped PERFECTLY together! I LOVED this book!
